emaGEN voicemail customers have the option to
add the Unified Messaging Module, in order to achieve a single
point of reference for all messages left for them on voicemail,
e-mail and fax. Designed to optimise the functionality available
from the Microsoft Exchange Server and Microsoft Outlook front
end, the emaGEN Unified Messaging module provides complete desktop
control of your voicemail messaging via your LAN connected PC.
emaGEN UM is also compatible with Lotus Notes.

The emaGEN Client uses standard protocols to bring voice messages,
faxes and e-mails together to one inbox. Using any e-mail client,
including Microsoft Outlook, Outlook express, Netscape, Lotus
Notes and even web-based clients such as hotmail.com, or yahoo.com,
you can connect to the emaGEN system and receive your voice
messages and faxes. Voice messages are played over the speakers on
your PC, and faxes viewed on the screen or can be printed. You can
browse your mail according to the sender, priority or the time the
message was received. You can also archive the messages in folders
on your e-mail client. When on the road, the emaGEN Client will
save you money on long distance calls by allowing you to access
voice messages and faxes through a local Internet connection. The
messages will be downloaded to your PC and you can attend to them
at your leisure.
With the emaGEN Client you no longer have to check three or more
communication devices. It is a perfect time saving tool. It makes
your message handling more efficient and reliable.
Recording messages is simplicity itself - just click on the icon,
address the message as if it were an e-mail, and start recording
when you are ready. You can add to the recording, mark it urgent or
private, or earmark it for future delivery. Certification of receipt
can be requested (a message is sent back to you to confirm the
message has been heard), and you can even keep a copy in your 'Sent
Items' folder. Many systems offer a
simple WAV file as an email attachment but emaGEN is much more
clever and has total synchronisation with email and voicemail so if
you delete it in one place it deletes in the other, it is so clever
that if you forward an email with a voice wav attachment to another
user on the system then emaGEN detects that and puts a copy in their
voice mailbox as well!
Fax is received at the desktop and can easily be sent from any
Windows program such as Word etc, you can also receive a fax
confirmation that confirms your document was received OK or if it
failed.

You simply click print and you will get a popup allowing you to
choose a fax recipient, this can be from a list or can even import
your directory from Microsoft Outlook. You can send to several
recipients at once and can even CC a fax to an email address.
