The Marker 16.12.2003 | 10:59 Telrad Connegy which develops and supplies enterprise telecommunications systems, has completed its new UNITe IP system, integrating telephony and added value services over Internet. UNITe IP is a converged system that integrates classic digital telephony with IP technology. Its users can connect IP telephones on one network, anywhere in the world, using the infrastructure from existing data networks. System adopters can thereby connect subscribers and branches in diverse locations to a single system via the Internet. These subscribers can talk as well as exploit in "added-value" services such as voice mail, conference call facilities, and make use of joint resources such as external lines. Telrad Connegy's existing advanced telephones can also be connected directly to UNITe IP, thereby safeguarding customers' investments. Telrad Connegy has developed a portal that enables users to adapt the smart phone's features to their needs. Telrad Connegy will be unveiling the new product at its distributors' conference in Israel next week, following the product's launch at the distributors conference in the U.S. The firm will be unveiling two IP telephones that interface to Internet. The first, the IP6000, is a state-of-the-art management telephone with a large colour display and touch keyboard. The second, the Avanti 3015ip, is the IP version of the telephones that already exist in the UNITe system. The new product line is a result of the merger between Telrad Tenecs and Congruency. The development of the UNITe IP product line is largely based on Congruency's expertise in the VoIP (Voice Over IP) field. |
