Incentives, Product Upgrades and Monster trucks!

Harpenden, UK 9th March 2005

Iridiacom Dealers

Iridiacom, the Hertfordshire based UK Distributor of Telrad Connegy held their fourth Dealer Day on March 9th 2005. In a day packed with activities provided by Monster Events, Alan Doyle, the Managing Director of Iridiacom announced some exciting volume based dealer incentives to be awarded at the end of the first quarter, not least of which, the top six dealers are to be flown by helicopter to this year’s British Grand Prix, for a day of hospitality in grandstand seats. In the event, the contest was wide open - Cashin Telecom had pole position with JK Telecom at close second followed by Eurotel, Corporate Telecoms and Britannic Technologies.

With a fair number of laps left to go in this race, it was with some interest that the attendees heard Iridiacom’s Technical Director John Richards announce the release of a software upgrade that will open up large new segments of the UK market for IP telephony to all Iridiacom’s dealers in Telrad’s Unite IP solutions. For dealers the announcement means the entire legacy of dependable functionality their customers have come to expect from Telrad telephone systems can now be fully integrated into the network on a larger scale than ever before. The Unite IP version 3.0 software upgrade and the IPeX 400 release, means not only larger scale systems but also integrated voicemail and extended IP features. Plus more competitive pricing is to follow from the new licensing options of 192 and 384 ports. Further versatility has been added with support for SIP gateways for users who wish to have trunks as part of a distributed VoIP system.

Off Road Fun
There was more good news to come as special guest Yaron Klein launched the Avanti SP15 softphone. Yaron has been involved in the entire development cycle of the Telrad Connegy product and had come from Israel to demonstrate the extensive practical features and higher levels of integration incorporated in the latest release of this firmly established market leading CTI product. The launch had been keenly anticipated among Iridiacom’s dealers and this was evident from the many questions and queries about integration, licensing and features that followed Yaron’s talk.

Along with the Q1 incentives and upgrades, Iridiacom also announced interesting new additions to their product portfolio. Iridiacom’s dealers are now able to select Oak Telecom’s compelling SmartApplications range to offer a powerful operator console and desktop CTI solution with tight integration across a wide range of databases. The call recording market is sitting up to take notice of the new Provoice DX4 call recording unit and so did Iridiacom’s dealers when Oak Telecom complemented their product range with this highly affordable yet versatile recording solution including simple usb connectivity and entry level 4/8 channel recording in a dealer installable compact unit.

The Callview range from Swan Solutions has formed the core of Iridiacom’s modular call handling and CTI offering for call centres and Swan’s Bart Delgado gave the audience an update on immanent prospects for upgrades and increased sales - again there was a lot of interest in the direction of the product and a great deal of feedback was generated.

Quadbike Fun
The afternoon was pure fun and many dealers took the chance to drive some unusual vehicles - Monster Events have the only Land Rover based monster truck in the UK and all participants got to drive over obstacles and cars including a Jaguar (we were told it was a Jaguar but it was too flat too tell !), other activities included an 8 wheel vehicle where drivers had to go around a slalom course and keep water in a large drum (there were many wet drivers), quad biking, four wheel drive action around an off road course including a huge see saw and finally a reverse steer car where you turned the steering wheel left and the car went right !!!

Alan Doyle MD of Iridiacom commented on the day, "…we had a fantastic turn out by our dealer base and the day went really well. The afternoon events were very well received with lots of smiling faces and the opportunity to drive a monster truck was awesome!” Noam Cimand, Telrad’s VP of sales for EMEA was also in the UK from Israel to participate in the event and commented, “…it's always good to visit our UK dealers and I took the opportunity to present an update on the Unite IP product road map and share some reassurance in the exciting future of the product.”
